The Cancer Institute at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network and the American Cancer Society has collaborated to bring you this unique program.  This program provides a cancer patient with a cancer survivor who has been trained by the American Cancer Society as a mentor.

Mentors are there to provide you with on-going support and information during your cancer journey.  Contact can be face to face or by telephone. These mentors offer a special kind of caring environment for expressing your feeling, thoughts, concerns and fears.

This program is voluntary, only you can request the mentor.  You, as the patient, direct this partnership and at anytime you can discontinue this relationship.  Your mentor is selected by looking at diagnosis, treatment and other relevant factors.
