There are many volunteer opportunities available to community members at The Cancer Institute at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network. If you, a friend or a family member are interested in volunteering at the Institute please contact the volunteer center for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Hospitality/Concierge Volunteer
Greet guests at the door and assist them in reaching their desired destination.
Answer Cancer Institute phone
Make appointments for boutique
Keep chapel clean and organized
Prepare snacks and drinks for guests
- Library Volunteer
Supervise library; provide assistance to guests with materials, equipment etc.
Restock pamphlets and straighten books
Make follow-up calls to lendees regarding due dates
Maintain the CancerHelp computer
Greet guests and tally number of visitors
In addition this individual must be able to work with patients and family members on referrals to community programs and to assist them through the Alexian Brothers system through telephone calls or personal outreach.

Assist at special events
Help on large projects
Cover shifts in all above areas for sick volunteers.
