The Cancer Institute serves as a resource center for all oncology patients, their families and the community. Its focus is to meet the needs of the whole person, physically, emotionally, socially and/or spiritually.

Library:
The library has a wide variety of cancer information, including books, pamphlets and brochures, videos and computers. Patients are able to obtain the latest cancer information through access to the Internet and other software programs.

Volunteers help with community referrals, answer individual questions regarding cancer and supervise the library. The library is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.

Boutique :
The Cancer Institute Boutique is available to patients by appointment. Hairstylists are available to assist cancer patients in styling their hair or wig. Make-up specialists assist patient's with tips and techniques that will enhance their own beauty and minimize skin changes due to cancer treatment. The boutique is open by appointment only 1-888-466-6011.

Support/Education:
Site-specific education and support programs are offered for patients and their families. Individual and group programs are developed to provide greater knowledge about their disease and the treatment process. A social worker is available to help families and patients deal with their diagnosis.

Life Management:
Programs offered include massage therapy, fitness and exercise (aerobics, yoga and Tai Chi) and wellness programs, such as stress, life style and social management programs.

Chapel:
Pastoral care services are available to all patients and their families. The chapel is located within the Cancer Institute and may be used as a quiet reflection space or for services.

St. Alexius Medical Center:
Education on cancer and its treatments, pastoral care services, inpatient social services as well as programs on cancer prevention and cancer screenings are also available at this location.
